A purse/tote bag is considerd a carry on. Most airlines allow you to take 2 carry on bags which can be a purse/brief case and a small suitcase (22 inches and smaller), two backpacks/totes, or two small suitcases. It's best to check with your airline for their policies.

Most airlines will have a box at the ticket counter and/or gate for you to put your carry on in to see if it meets their regulations. If it doesn't fit in the box you will either need to check it at the ticket counter or at the gate.

Please note that medical equipment DOES NOT count as your carry on baggage. My husband uses a breathing machine at night and travels for work. Airlines are not allowed to count the bag his breathing machine is in as a carry on since it's medical equipment. This means he's allowed to carry his machine in addition to his two carry on bags.

You can carry 2 most airlines, a purse, and a backpack for instance. Or a small rolling case and a purse.
check with the airlines website for more info. Weight restrictions and carry on restrictions.

call your airline to make sure, normally the max size is 45-51 inches of w+l+d combined and the max weight is 40 pounds. A purse, if it is not huge, should count as a your one personal item and not a carry-on.

You can take a carry on PLUS your purse. The carry on must fit thru a box at the exray machine. About 14"x14"x24". Not sure about the weight.

Yes. It counts as a carry-on if it is bigger than a purse or too big to carry on your lap.
