Christian entertainment. I wouldn't take it as anything more than that. Though it is based on the Bible and written by believers and I'm sure there is value in them as far as sparking interest in God's word, they should not be seen as spot on depictions of future events.

The essential doctrines - the Rapture, the emergence of Antichrist, the 2nd Coming - these are sound Biblical doctrines. The time elements and sequence of events may be a matter of conjecture. As for the drama, I have never actually seen the movies or read the books. The Bible states the matter plainly enough for me.

Actually I liked the movies--because it did go along with what Revelation says....maybe some of it was not perfectly matched but then again many of us who are saved do not know for certain every detail about the end times. But it does go along with scripture for the most part. Have you studied Revelation? And I know Daniel and Ezekial are also good books to study, my husband says study them first, then Revelation....( I need to do a good study on those books, as I already have done a great study on Revelation)

I personally don't read them, but some people in my church like them. I guess if they bring some current non-believers into the fold, then the authors, both of whom are professed Christians, are doing their calling to increase the church. It's a matter of personal choice, but I suppose they do at least increase awareness, or make people stop and think.

Very good. Many people read those books. They are still popular. If you understand the events in the books, even though the stories are fiction, then you understand what will happen in the end.

I read every one. I got a clear picture of their (the authors') ideas regarding the Tribulation, and they all seemed scriptural and correct. As far as the content and the characters....uh.....they were pretty bad.

I think it's poorly written fantasy. But then that particular religious belief (the whole second coming bit - rapture I guess it's called) is not for me.

I think those people have made alot of money on what I think is pure fantasy, yet many believe is what is really going to happen.

Fiction can be a good teaching tool done by the right heart, mind, and hand.

It has been largely successful. You can get a lot of the videos at Blockbuster.
