Dentist. If you have it right now (and the Dentist is closed) Anbesol applied to the tooth and surrounding gum area along with Ibuprofin or other anit-inflamatory oral medication may help you through the night. (Some people have gotten temporary relief from the topical application of Oil of Cloves.)

Again, these are only suggestions to get through the night ofr a non-emergency condition. Get an appointment as soon as possible for proper care.

Well I have been going through the same thing. My appointment to the dentist is on the 14th of this month. Until then I have been gargling Whiskey on the side of my mouth that is causing the pain. It helps it for a while you have to do it a couple times a day. Another thing that I am doing is garling salt water that also helps make sure the water is warm water. Hopefully this helps until you can get to the dentist.

Apply a poultice that consists of the following:

1) one clove garlic, macerated

2) one or two drops Tea Tree Oil

3) one tsp pure aloe vera gel, or juice

**Mix contents and place in cotton hankie, bring corners of hankie together and just pick up the da**ed thing and put it on your tooth/gum. Don't swallow contents, spit it out, you'll salivate, Tea Tree is not good to swallow, but it will get rid of that ache as it sounds like you're developing an absess.

My hubby has absesses all the time for different teeth and he does this concoction/remedy until he can get to the dentist.

Do it 3X per day.

Good luck, oh, and go to the dentist, will ya?!

Whenever I had a toothache I usually just got rid of the tooth. Then no more toothaches from that one. But til you can get it pulled try Advil, Aleve, or aspirin, and maybe some of the other things mentioned in other answers. Oragel or Ambesol might work some too. But the thing that always worked best for me was get to the dentist ASAP and get it pulled. Thank God I don't have toothaches anymore cuz they really do suck.

Go to the dentist. The pain will only go away with treatment.

You can wait for the nerve to completely die, but the husk of the tooth will make the underlying gums susceptible to infection, and you'll still feel like crap.

I used Orajel and a heating pad. Brought relief to short term.
Good luck.
