You know my grandfather and my aunt had this. Good thing nowadays is that there is more advanced medication.
Unfortunately, there is no control of when it starts, but medication does help prevent the stage of the disease in advancement.
Both my grandfather and my aunt got in their late 40s.
It's a tough disease, but there are some great doctors and better technology.

Parkinson's disease is not contagious. It is genetic. You can also get it from not living healthy. Parkinsons is caused from a lack of a hormone called Dopamine in the brain. People who do illegal drugs like cocaine or smoke cigarettes get a buzz from these substances as a result of an increased amount of dopamine leaving the cells, and moving into the space between them. By doing this you use up all of your dopamine stores, and as a result, are lacking in it when you get older. I have even heard theories that fake sugar and salt (Monosodium glutamate, and aspartame) can increase your chances of getting it. You cant really prevent it from spreading.

It is not classified as a contagious disease. Until the real root cause is found for what triggers this condition, it is difficult to know how to prevent it.
