Be romantic and that's the first thing you should do. I am not good at these things, but I am trying to help. Maybe you should take him to the movies and watch a romantic comedy, like for example the new romantic comedy with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore "Music and Lyrics" film or go out to a romantic dinner, Those are some samples of a perfect Valentine night out. For gifts get your boyfriend something special. Either a poem, a Valentines card and write to hime something romantic, a stuff animal w/ chocolates on it. Do not rush w/ anything because you and your boyfriend have been together for a month and half. The most important is that to just be romantic and do not rush on anything. Take it Nice & Slow... NOTHING: Valentines Day is a special occasion for MEN to declare their love for their WOMAN. Those women who don't understand this will spend time, energy and money getting and doing all sorts of things that their man is not interested in.

Usually just a nice card and a home cooked meal is good. I made my guy lobster dinner and he loved it. Or bake him some cookies. Yum! Only 1.1/2 months you don't want to go over board.

I know Im going to go to my boyfriends work and Im leaving him a tide stick (as a joke because he always spills everything on him) and a cute note on his car. and then Im going to make a heart of hershey kisses on his hood. and use glass paint on his windows (which comes off) and writing Be Mine? But do somthing creative and suprising.

see if you can find a cd or movie he likes. guys like video games too.
check to see what bands he's into as well, maybe get him some merchandise from one of his favorite bands (shirts, belt buckles, boxers ;), ect.)
stay away from watches, teddy bears, flowers, and candy.
i promise you he'll like whatever you give him, because its from you, but those are just suggestions

for me, it's less money and more sentimental value. i honestly can't tell you what a trun on it is when a girl gives me a picture of the two of us or my name tattooed on her.
