Don't worry about the decorating factor-worry about the basics first! be sure you have enuf money to survive first off and moving to far from where you live now could be more costly in the long run! With no family living close (?) then no one will be there to help you if someting doesn't go right! So keep saving your money and just buy the basics of what you may need- towels, sheets, dishes, cookware and before moving when u have some x-tra cash hit some garages sales and thrift stores and get these basics cheaper than new!!That way you will have what u need and still have money to get by on!

No, if your salary is low then you need to buy what you need first, probably second hand or something, the purpose is to not get into debt when starting this journey to a new chapter of your life.
Once settled you replace the crap with the new good stuff as and when you can, when you get there you aim for a better paid job just like everyone else and that will ease the burden of it all.
Unless you have the money behind you, if you go out and buy all the stuff for the lounge for example (expense thinking), you will be stuffed if you have nothing to sleep on.
Moving out for the first time is something not to be taken lightly, think first x
You'd be better off renting a furnished flat (apartment) first of all.

Get the basics first. You can make your $ stretch by shopping at thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, etc. Check out Goodwill and Salvation Army. In my city, Salvation Army has a 1/2 price sale every Wednesday. You might pick up dishes, decorative items, etc. at a very reasonable price.
Check online www.craigslist.com for your city. You may find some free items or something you need that's well priced.
Furnish your apartment with the basics, then start decorating with accessories that you can find at the $$ stretching places I mentioned earlier.

Buy only what you need and don't worry about decorating. Once you move and get settled in, you can pick up a few little decorations if you have extra money. Try looking online and bargain stores. Sometimes you can get really great deals.

Don't spend your hard-earned money for something you will one day look at as junk, just because you want to decorate with something.
Make the decision you are going "minimalist" until you can afford the things you truly like and want. You're lucky, because the minimalist look is popular right now.
Try this tip...equate your purchases with how long it took to earn the money to buy it. Is it worth it? This way you will only purchase what is important to you.

Save your money, moving is expensive!!!
Once you have a place to live, get the basics. Even cheap stuff will last a few years.
