I would rather marry a virgin guy then a guy that isn't a virgin (though I would hold it against him... my fiance wasn't a virgin going into our relationship and it hasn't made a big dent in our love lives or anything lol), but that would show that he loved the idea of me enough to wait for me, didn't want five million STD's or children by multiple mothers, and was confident enough to know he would be a good lover without bedding 50 girls beforehand. P.S. I knew a lot of guys that were virgins at 19.... I don't think they announced that to their other guy friends, but they were find with telling me. Some of them just hadn't met the right girl yet, and some were too busy with their other hobbies, and some were dying to lose it lol... I guess it take all kinds! So any age is fine in my mind to be a virgin, as long as the guy is kind and sexy.

Sex can be really great. It can also be really, really, really bad.
Your first time is bound to have a few glitches. So why do it just this once, for no real reason?
If it's wonderful then you'll be stuck wanting more with a girl who obviously isn't super content with just one guy. And if it isn't that great, you're left to your own to figure out how to do it better next time.
I say wait until you get involved with a woman who you actually care about. Then sex will be so much better.
If you have low self esteem, try focusing on something other than yourself for a while. Volunteer. Do something to help others..something you care a lot about. You feel smartest, strongest, happiest and the most "whole" when you are giving of yourself unselfishly.
So get out there and do good. You could meet a like-minded woman!

Whoa... what?!? You want to lose your virginity (a.k.a. the most amazing wedding present you can give to your future wife) to some random girl who you have no feelings for? Yikes!
Why do you want to become a "ladies man?" Lots of girls prefer guys who are shy, as long as they are not completely swalloed up by the crowd. Find other ways to build your confidence with women, like just making some female friends with no sexual pressure, or even taking some sort of class where you could learn some interesting things to bring up in conversation or even meet a woman.
...Bottom line: Don't do it! Wait until your wedding night.

Dude... If I had to do it over again I would of waited. I lost it at 18 (I'm 20 now), and I broke up with the girl I lost it to less then two weeks later. It was a BIG mistake. If you could I would wait til I found a girl I thought was the one. Sex is way over blown, and it doesn't really help your confedence very much. Trust me waiting is the way to go.

lose it buddy.. wherever you can, if you feel comfortable with that...
i think women can tell if a guys a virgin or not, and that may turn some women off.. i had a friend that didnt lose his virginity until he was 20 like you, and it definately helped him feel more confident around women, and now he definately has less problems picking up women
and i wouldnt worry about how many other men shes been with (7 isnt that many to begin with), but ive also always hated the double standard we put upon women who enjoy sex

If you like girls, and aren't just obsessed with losing your virginity, then yes, take it as a sign--and consider yourself lucky.
There is of course an emotional component to sex. If you are seeing sex as just the act of sex you shouldn't be having sex in the first place.
At least not for your first time. You would be making a mistake to bring your shyness to a place where there was a lack of emotional connection. It certainly won't improve your confidence with girls.
Wait for there to be an emotional connection. Don't get excited about convenience. Your shyness will pass when you get more experience with the emotional connection, not the sex act.

Don't do it,wait until you meet the right girl. You don't want to do it your first time with a hoochie.Having sex will not make you even different, may make you even more uncomfortable. You just have to learn to break out of the shy boy.Trust me in highschool 9th through 10th grade I was shy.Try like me,hanging around the opposite sex, girls, once you get use to being around them you will build up your confidence to talk to them and know I how to ask a girl out.

I think you should wait for someone who cares about you. I do not think you will be more confident if you lose your virginity. Wait for the right woman to come along. You won't feel shy and your confidence will boost with being with the right one.
