I agree that people treat grace as if it were a get out of jail free card (a.k.a.: "cheep grace").
God gave us grace so that we could have a second chance to learn from our mistakes and grow. He never intended for grace to be abused as a loophole for sin. God is not stupid.

It's not about having a wonderful life. Jesus proved that himself as did his followers. Nearly all were brutally killed. But God had to send Himself first to live as a man to teach people how to do His works. He then fulfilled His purpose in death by giving everyone access to God without works. So if you mess up and repent, you will be forgiven. His teaching's were for some of those things you mention but mainly for people to go out and preach as He demonstrated.

Jesus spent a lot of time teaching his desciples about how we can have a wonderful life, in Paradiseand to get there we need to follow his example, his teachings do mean that if we follow them we can attain a wonderful and happy life one that the apostle Paul called the real life((1Timothy6:19), that is because it is a life without death or sickness, so how can we get that grip on the real life?It is by taking in accurate knowledge about God and the one that he sent Jesus Christ (John17:3) Jesus whole point was not only to sacrifice his life in behalf of those who believe in God and Jesus' sacrifice but also his purpose was to teach about his Father and God in heaven to sanctify God's name and make it known, teach people how to learn the truth of Godand do God's will, and put themselves inline to receive the free gift from God namely(everlasting life in true happiness) But sadly, the world of mankind are not taking this knowledge seriously and not following Jesus example.

The Point is that we Grow. Up. Spiritually.
Jesus can Only Tell the Truth.
The Truth will set you Free.
Jesus wants all Mankind to be Free.
The Lost (like we used to be) can get Blessed Too by Following Jesus's Teachings (Truth).
The Lost (like we used to be) can get Saved too, by Following Jesus's Teachings.
Just Believe Who Jesus said HE Was and Ask HIM to Save (Recreate your Spirit), religion can't Recreate you (a Spirit living in a Body)---Jesus Can and Will but HE needs your Permission to do it (Save You).

But that is not the theology. As nice as that would be, it simply isn't what any Christian sect teaches. Accepting Jesus as savior is the ONLY requirement. This is just one reason why it is all drivel.

ur right, people need to do the right thing regardless, one who dont, they have their own selfish reasons. The problem is we are not thought right as well.
Praying all day is meaningless when one dont do the right thing!
People dont understand the road to god is not thru church but being a righteous individual when one lives life righteously god himself will take them to heaven or whatever, dont have to ask him or pray.

People in general do not realize the "massiveness" <---(think big!) of this statement: Jesus died once and for all.
Jesus just did not die for all peoples. Jesus died for it all.
Examples:
Jesus died once and for people.
Jesus died once and for law.
Jesus died once and for money.
Jesus died once and for government.
Jesus died once and for technology.
Jesus died once and for religion.
Jesus died once and for things.
In other words:
Jesus died once and for all (CREATION!)
To SAVE all (CREATION!)
For some realize that this Creation is condemned. It is also realized that He will make (CREATE) all things NEW!

I suspect it's much easier to consider yourself saved by someone else's death than to have to go to all that effort to practice love and peace and understanding...
