I have no experience of buying property here in Puerto Rico, but some places to check would be craiglist and clasificadosonline.
Beach property is going to be expensive, but I believe that the price of houses has been going up steadily over the past few years.
From what I can tell property prices here are higher than in the US mainland (probably because the island is small and land is a premium commodity).

Buying property in Puerto Rico is a risky proposition at best. Have you done your home work regarding crime and property values? Give it a good thought! There are so many places in the Caribbean less risky...
