Don't really know what you are trying to ask, but in general, doing anything to the coast is a bad idea.

People have tried, and continue to try, to shape the coastlines to fit their needs always to find out that a very delicate balance is all that keeps the coast the way it is, and whatever they do to it can have unforeseen results.
