Eggs are sometimes contaminated with traces of salmonella, which chickens harbor in their guts. It does not make the chicken sick, in fact, it is part of the normal intestinal bacteria of chickens. However, it can make us sick, which is why eggs should always be cooked as it destroys the salmonella. If you have salmonella poisoning you will feel lousy for a few days but if you are otherwise healthy you will recover with no longterm ill effects. If you have underlying health conditions or if you are not better in a few days see a dr.
In the meantime, try and stay hydrated, and, when you are able to keep food down, go with a mild BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast)
Hope you're better soon.
PS -- some people eat raw eggs as a tonic or as an ingredient in eggnog, merangue, etc, with no ill effects. Not all eggs are contaminated, maybe they''ve just been lucky so far. Or maybe they've got a good resistance to salmonella.

On rare occasion raw eggs contain salmonella bacteria which could make you ill 24 hrs after consumption. Unless you're allergic to eggs there's no way you should be sick right after eating. Indeed, if you made the French toast by dipping it in an egg/milk/sugar mixture and then pan fried it, the salmonella should have been killed with the heat.

Yes it is not smart to eat raw eggs. But the chance of getting the Salmonella bacteria would be remote or bad luck.
Maybe you are throwing up because the idea of eating raw eggs and they taste turned you off and made you sick.
It would normally take many hours prior to getting sick from the Salmonella bug. Did you get sick within minutes? If you did it is more about worry than bacteria.

These days eggs are pasturized unless you bought them fresh from a farm. Pasturized eggs are safe to eat raw, unless they are outdated or cracked before you use them. If you are making yourself throw up then stop it you are OK. If it is happening naturally you have food poisoning likely do to some bad eggs and you need to call an ambulance or a friend who can drive you to the hospital to get your stomach pumped. Good luck and feel better

The "danger" of raw eggs is largely a myth. Only one in 20,000 has salmonella. It's far more likely your puking from a psychosomatic effect than an actual pathogen.
But that's NOT the point.
You're throwing up and think you might be sick, and instead of going to the ER, you ask Yahoo Answers what to do, and sit there by a computer waiting for total strangers, who are not medical doctors, to decide your fate?????????
Are you out of your freaking mind?

I'm not sure but you may want to see a doctor if the symptoms persist.
I've eaten raw eggs many times and never had any ill effects. I used to mix them with milk in a blender, add a little vanilla it was pretty good.
You're more likely to get food poisoning from fresh vegetables than from chicken or other meats.
