If you have any kind of faith Muslim, Christian, Pagan, Buddist any thing.....Can we start flooding yahoo with requests asking to add an athiest section for themselves...that way when they answer a RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY question with thier usual bla bla bla we can report them and they can be removed. It's like being in the car section and asking if a ford is better then a chev and someone answering 'cars don't exist' ......An athiests answer and participation in this section is totally irrelivent......PLEASE EMAIL YAHOO

I guess there has to be an agreement whether atheism is a 'religion' or 'spirituality'.... really it is neither...my point is not if atheists have a right to debate, disagree or even exist MY GOODNESS!! My question is if theirs is neither a 'religion' nor a 'spiritual belief' are they in the RIGHT section.... someone gave the example of a buffet, good. When I go to a buffet I expect a number of different dishes, some I may like some I may not care for. I don't think I would be interested in going to a buffet were several of the dishes were empty.

No. I'm Pagan and I think the atheists have every right to be here because this is a question and answer forum. They are asking legitimate questions about religion.

First of all, you are a jerk for wanting different sections. Its a bigoted thing for you to say. Just because atheists have no religious beliefs, does not mean that they have no say in anything that is asked in the R&S section! Atheists, just like the majority of other people (of other religions) in this section, are here because they enjoy a good ole' religious debate. Christians are just as (if not more) pushy than atheists when it comes to proving their points or answering a question!
So, shut it!

Hey! Instead why don't you do us a favor and leave yourself .
One of the last vestiges of interest and reasonable comment certainly is not your bla bla bla so good bye guy ....! Chevy's exist but why should you? Have you ever added anything new ? I didn't think so either .same old same old and now your prejudice self wants to censure anyone not as boring and repetitive as your own brand of redundency. if someone doesn't like it they don't have to go!

Tisk tisk,,, Its not nice to beat up on the people who make this section so interesting.

Yahoo would be mad to split this section in two as the same topics would be discussed in both secions.

I would think most people would like to have as many responses and viewpoints on their questions as possible.

Thats the whole reason we are here right?

What's really absurd is that you want to police the Internet and segregate opposing ideas to protect what you believe to be truth. Your particular viewpoint is simply one viewpoint in the whole buffet of opinions and viewpoints having no more relevance than any other. Your attempt to be the watchdog for the Internet and protect innocent minds from atheism leaves them open to your own brand of dogmatism and anti-science. Who's going to protect them from YOU?

Irrelivant as I may be, I'm going to answer anyway. We are not here to cast you into any hell. We are not even hear to bash you or criticize you. We are just here for spirited debate and open minded conversation. There are plenty of theists here who enjoy having a little of the "other side" to talk to.

What fun would it be to be preaching to the choir all day long?

No, I like the atheists, they are funny and they give intelligent answers for the most part. They have just as much right to be here as you do.

Who says atheists can't be spiritual or be interested in learning about other religions and people's opinions of such? It'd be awfully boring if this forum was simply full of Christians and Muslims arguing over who's killed more in the name of God.

So, what is the problem? If a car question ended up with an answer that "cars don't exist" those who found that answer ridiculous would ignore it. Why can't the same be done here?
