Some one just asked, "Is Jesus God". There were 45 responses. 45 people wanted to vote on that question, or express their conviction. Half said Jesus was the son of God, the other half said Jesus was God. Then there was a multitude of thumbs down splattered against each side, a few thumbs up, but mainly everyone in the early rounds were splattered with thumbs down.

In the past only 8 or 9 people respond to "What does Jesus want us to do?" ---

Is there a lesson to be learned by the lopsided interests in these two subjects about Jesus?

Jesus wants us to obey God, and follow the bible, and his words. He also wants us to go to Heaven, and have faith in him, and believe in him. "Repent and be baptized..." (acts 2:38)

And I understand your question, about the "Is Jesus God" thing, and I think it's for the sake of argument for most people, and some people may not respond to "What does Jesus want us to do?" because they don't know, yet they know if Jesus is God so they answer that.

Jesus wants us to follow his example and teachings to read and follow his teachings as recorded in the Bible and to worship and Honor his Father whose name is found 7,210 time in the original writings of the Bible like Ps83:18 also to live by his teachings and apply them in our lives and help others to do so also principally to preach and teach from house to house like he did and taught the Apostles and other Disciples to do so Mat 24:14 and 28:19,20 to believe he s the first born of all creation Col 1:15 and that he is the Son of God as he taught and wrote hope this is enough if not more can be supplied best wishes Gorbalizer

Jesus wants us to follow His example and love one another. He also wants us to invite Him into our hearts and lives and accept that He died To redeem us from the penalty of sin so we may have eternal life. Perhaps people saw it harder to respond to your question as to what Jesus wants us to do, compared to Who He is, because one reminds us we Should be doing something which is a decision some have not yet made. The question re: Who He is was seen as less personal and a greater challenge to debate for those who just saw it as a debate and not a decision. thanx Ronniea

Best to go to the bible then, isn't it? Yahoo answers has all sorts of people answering questions. If you want it from the source, go to the bible for your answers. Not everyone who answers a question...answers from scripture.

P.S. Jesus asked us to do many things. He made this an important point: love God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus wants us to defend His word- and speak the truth in love, with love towards others.

Ephesians 4:15
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
