White chocolate is a type of chocolate based on cocoa butter without the cocoa solids. It also includes milk solids, sugar, lecithin, and flavorings (usually including vanilla). Cocoa butter is the ingredient used in other chocolates so that they remain solid at room temperature yet melt easily in the mouth. Thus, white chocolate has a texture like that of chocolate but does not have the same taste. Unlike chocolate it does not contain caffeine

White chocolate maybe unpopular because it is not chocolate. You could get a better sense by researching why chocolate is so popular. For example, it's history, attributes, the different uses for cocoa, etc. White chocolate basically contains no cocoa, it's essentially a sweetened fat substance.

White chocolate isn't really chocolate, it's just cocoa butter with added sweeteners and flavorings. It's good to add variety and interest to a box of chocolates, and it's good for people who are allergic to regular chocolate, but it's not the real thing.

I dont like White Chocolate ... it doesn't even taste like it. Its not even the real thing and its appearance is not as appealing as the sweet dark or milk chocolate ... who can resist to that .. No Woman can !!!! Yuummyyy!! =o)

but its not as good as lovely dark chocolate, white chocolate is too sweet, its like eating plain sugar, no real chocolate flavor that is so divine.

It's too sweet. It doesn't have the rich smooth chocolately flavor of milk chocolate.
