try to stay logic what is the relationship between his death and my salvation? could he just save me by dying?? there was no other alternative?
why is dying a way of saving? i just dont get it.
and if he had to die to save the people why he resurrected 3 days later??? isnt that a bit of a mockery about the salvation thing??
"i sacrifice myself and i die for you all...well i die a little , just three days, you are not worthy of a longer salvational death".

I've often wondered why god didn't send his son to "dance" for our forgiveness. Why death. This baffles me:

1) god makes man
2) man sins
3) god really wants to forgive man, but can't
4) god decides that he can, but only if ...
5) he sends his son to die? Huh?

Everyone that has life eventually dies, but the remarkable thing about Jesus was that he carried the blessing of the Holy Spirit . When he died he became our intersessor between us and God. No person could ever face God so for us humans to have an eternal salvation we needed a go between. Because God is hated by evil Jesus was also hated by evil and therefore the evil in peoples hearts devised a way to have him murdered. Even though he was nailed to a cross like a common thief he actully died of a broken heart.

Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. The sins of God's people were remitted by the shedding of animals blood on a yearly basis, usually a lamb. Chech out the Old Testament. And when the time was right, God Himself came to the earth in human form by way of the Immaculate Conception to live, and die to give us Atonement for sins once and all. He rose 3 days later and walked among the people once again to prove that He conquered death and hell. He provided a way of escape for us from hell. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness and be baptized by immersion for the forgiveness of our sins and then He will give us the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in an unknown language, to help us overcome any other sinful behavior! The Holy Ghost will also lead us in ALL Truth. I hope that I have cleared things up for you!

When Adam sinned, he ended up, along with all his offspring, a slave to Satan, sin, and death.

Jesus came to destroy Satan's power over mankind.

Satan had no authority to take the life of any innocent man, let alone Jesus, the only Son of God, so when Jesus permitted Satan and his minions to crucify him, Satan was judged for his crime, stripped of all that he had earlier gained from Adam's fall, and left powerless.

Jesus was resurrected, awarded all that Satan had swindled from Adam (and much, much more), and was appointed the new head of all mankind.

With Jesus as the head of mankind, God is now more than willing to forgive.

Now, anyone who swears faithful allegiance to Christ, through baptism, can have their sins forgiven, and hopefully be "saved".

It's that simple.

It isn't the death itself, but the time in hell between the death and the resurrection, and if it matters, the time was only half that--died on Friday evening, out of the tomb on Sunday morning. Note that a few hours of God in hell is more than equivalent to all Christians' eternity in hell, so it's up to you to pick from there.

Before Jesus, the punishment for sinning was death. But since he died, now if we sin, we have the chance of turning our lives around and not sinning again. Of course, none of us are perfect, and it happens. But we are forgiven, God doesn't hold grudges.

As for him resurrecting, it shows he's not human. He was pure and never sinned, so he didn't have to die, but he did. And he was resurrected because he is God. And people witnessed this and believed.

first I must ask how old you are? When I was young , I thought like you did. Now that I am older and death comes closer, I don't want it to happen. I want to live. Alass, it shall some day happen.
When I was young, I couldn't even think about being put in the ground, Not me. Now I must buy a plot at cemetary soon. Do I realize that I'm going to be MO MORE? Can't get a grip on that.
Take some time to yourself and think about YOUR DEATH. Think about how you"ll have no inneraction with family and friends. You won't be able to look at the sky, smell the fresh cut grass, listen to your favorite tunes. You'll be gone. You'll be 6ft under. After a while, they won't even think of you anymore (the ones that are here still alive). That is the reality of Death. But where will you go, where will you be? Who actually knows???
The ultimate sacrifice that a human can give, is to give his life for another human,so that he may live. To put himself in this unknown position for another person, is to give up his life for another(realize that in the end, when all is said and done life is all you've got). To give it up for another is unthinkable. Think about it. Would you be willing to DIE, I mean really DIE so that your friend may live? I just don't think many would. Many would think that the outcome would be that by some fluke they would be spared, but Jesus didn't have that Option. Jusus was GOD incarnate, which means he had the natures of both Man and God. Now, upon reading the gospels, I think his Human nature was most in control but, when working Miricales ect. the God nature kicked in. In the Garden , when he was praying to the Father and sweating Blood, this was his human nature. I'm sure he kept telling the Father NO.
He has got to say, is there no other way. I dont want to go through this torture. Man is not worth it. Just let it go, and chalk this up. I'm sure he begged and pleaded. Can you immagine seeing yourself dangeling on a cross wihh spikes in your wrists for hours, trying too hoist yourself up to take a bit of a breath and then fall again because of exaustion. Your fighting it for hours and hours. Your mind says, just one more time. This is what he went through. I'ts been documented. But the Father said, you must do this for humanity. And his human nature did as the father said. I"m sure that he had no Idea of what was to come afer his death. TO SAVE A LIFE, YOU MUST GIVE A LIFE! Jesus gave the ultimate life, the Life of God. He had to become human to do this. As for him haveing no Idea as to what was to come afetr his death, this is where the human nature kicks in. Jesus' human nature told him that he DID NOT TO DO THIS. What would you say? Would you do this for Mankind? NOT! You gotta realize that is GOD! His train of thought is not ours. As for the ressurection,,this was PROOF that he ws actually GOD, and that something awaits after death. Now think about it, had Jesus just died, the religion would have died like many others. No Big Deal, he was a great teacher, so what else is new? But he died and came back. Something that no other religion can say. When these people, of that time, saw this they were in awe. Put yourself there, this man who taught you was put to death. You saw him die. The party was over. You felt that all he had said was just a bunch of crap because he was dead. You did not claim any relation to him. You had to save yourself!!! Rome was searhing for you as a folower because you may cause trouble against the Government of Rome. Then, Mary goes to the Tomb and sees Jesus. Is this woman insane??? Isn't that what you'd think? SHE HAS LOST IT !!!!!
In the next few days Jesus appears to Many. The resurection is PROOF that there is life after death. The reseruction also has another meaning. Had the resurection occured, this religion wauld have never came to prominince. It would have died away.
After seeing Jesus resurrected these people were were bent out of shape, they had to tell everyone. Can you see??? Think about it, what would you do if your to see a Dead Man infront of you??
Sorry to get on my soapbox, just had to vent.
Ruthie

This was contrived for non educated followers that didn't question anything they were fed some are still the same way.
There is really no reason to accept this sacrifice for another's redemption theory. They say only god can save us but super god is the poor excuse all to often and without a sensible reason.

all sinned
sin leads to death
death leads to judgement
at Jesus death two of the many things happened
are 1) he paid the penalty for the sins of those who believe on Him 2) He credited the righteous work He did to them - a trade of their sins for His righteous work
the resurection was proof that the Father accepted His work

even in the United States law, sometimes a person is given permission to serve the penalty of another and do the jail time of the other at the discression of the judge

being raised form the dead showed that God did accept Jesus work on the cross as a substitute for sin

God is perfect and mankind is sinful so to save mankind, God
sends his holy and perfect son to die for our sins because
he is the only thing that is perfect to take our place. It's like someone going to a hotel and is charged a million dollars for a visit (that nobody can pay themselves) and God paying the price so you can be admitted into the hotel. The only difference is that the hotel is heaven but the only thing you need to do is to pray to him and ask him to be your savior and believe in your heart that he saved you from going to hell. It's that simple

Say you are caught speeding in a car.....get caught and go before a judge. The judge and courts say you are guilty and you now owe a fine of $1000. The court doesn't care how, where, or who pays this fine, as long as its paid for you. So say your dad steps up and pays it. He took responsibility for you and paid the fine that was for you.

Same with Jesus. When we die we will stand before God like a court and be judged for our life, our thoughts, our speech and the very secrets we hold in our heart. If we ask Jesus to forgive us and to come into our life...this is like looking at dad and saying....dad, can you pay my fine to get me off?

Jesus dies for us, giving his blood to the court for our actions. Paying our debt. This in turn allows you to go onto heaven as the court is satisfied as all they wanted was payment.

Make sense?
