Is drinking transmission fluid harmful to a human?

2007-02-11 14:02:36 · answer #2 · answered by SN 3 · 1 0

Yeah, if its harmful for you to drink it, its harmful for your dog to drink it.

Best bet is to call poision control and let them know, or call your local vet. They might recomend having your dog drink a vast amount of fluids (water) or they may recommend you bring your dog in for immediate medical attention.

FYI: Human shampoo - and most body soaps are toxic to dogs. It contains Propylene Glycol (CH3CHOHCH2OH) used in antifreeze soluitins, hydraulic fluids and as a solvent.
