Some say Jesus is God. Some say he's not. Some say he God disapproves of homosexuals. Some say he loves them all the same. Some say he disapproves of divorce. Some say he doesn't care as long as you're happy. Some say he sends rich folks to hell. Some say wealth has nothing to do with anything.

Don't they realize that by arguing amongst themselves they are weakening the base of their own religion?!? The fact that there are thousands of different sects of Christianity kinda of shows that people are rather opinionized....

There are contradictions in the Bible and people have different interpretations about the parts that don't contradict. Many people are willing to teach their interpretations as gospel fact.

Because the "preachers" and the like are not using the Scriptures the way they should be used....to get to the truth.

They are more interested in filling their coffers.

People fail to understand that Jesus although hailed as King as he rode on the "colt of an ***" as a king would in the next week he was being derided by the same crowed and egged on by the religious leaders of his day.

Yes, the very same people welcomeed his as King and then threw him under the bus, so to speak.

Those who are telling the good news are still being derided.
Not much has changed.

However, when you consider this scripture it may help you to see that not many of the powerful professed Christian organizations are really having a part in spreading the true Gospel or "Good News" as it should be.

"For YOU behold his calling of YOU, brothers, that not many wise in a fleshly way were called, not many powerful, not many of noble birth; 27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame; 28 and God chose the ignoble things of the world and the things looked down upon, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are, 29 in order that no flesh might boast in the sight of God." -1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Satan uses these to promote dissension but the truth remains the truth and it is available in his word. How would one prevent someone who is not a Christian from saying he is or even believing his own man made doctrines? True Christians follow his word and most truly do those sects that teach Jesus is not God are not considered Christian by the majority of Christians. Christ warned of false Christ and false religion these things will come to pass a man must come to have a personal relationship with God through his word and in prayer and in meditation that he is not deceived by wolves in sheep's clothing. Sure Satan knows what he is doing and deceiving is his favorite game those who love the truth will seek it out and those who do not will choose to follow a lie.

BINGO! I believe in Jesus, and I really get tired (exhausted) with all these acclaimed denominations that each of them claim to have "the truth" and yet they conflict on many issues - and some even act in spite of whats written in the Bible that is supposed to be their guide book - which to me is like Playing Baseball by ignoring the rulebook.., sheer lunacy.

I applaud your question. I tired of the conflict - and get what I believe straight from the Bible and I try despite my up-bringing to not let sectarian (denominational) teachings influence what I read.

If more people did that, there would be far less conflict. The Bible says "Come, let us reason together" - not compromise, not lean toward one sect or another but to establish what the truth really is.

Its horrible! Its like reading a news story about .., lets say.., Bush slips on a Banana Peel and Injures his hip.., and each reader coming away with a totally different false depiction of what the author wrote about the matter. I ask you.., how sad is that?

That is the precise reason each person must read God's word and find the truth on their own. There are clear answers to each of the questions you raised....it is not some mystery as to which side is biblically correct. The word of God is clear and is useful for weeding out the true Christians from the posers.

Because there is much division- just as God has told us there would be in His word. It is sad, and many do not interpret scriptures correctly, and by doing this they can fall away and be led by other doctrines easily---many do not seek the Holy Spirit for truth but read what they want to hear...and that also makes them crumble...And then many disagree on more less important issues that do not need debating, that do not pertain to salvation or who God is---

Luke 12:51
Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.

Romans 16:17
I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

1 Corinthians 1:10
[ Divisions in the Church ] I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

This is the problem when Imperfection tries to interpret Perfection. Humankind will NEVER agree fully on the Nature of the Divine until we bask in It's presence. THAT is when all our petty squabbling and "I'm going to Heaven and you're going to Hell" will end. How hard is it for everyone to realize that they don't have it right? No one does. That's why you don't see us Pagans trying to cram our religion down anyone's throats, we don't think that if you don't do it our way you don't get the Prize at the End. (At least most of us don't, I know, all generalizations are false.)

And some say Mormons are Christians and some say they're not. Some say Catholics are Christians and some say they're not. Some say that God ignores the prayers of my deeply religious and prayerful Jewish neighbor and some say He doesn't. For me, it hard to take anything these people say very seriously when, even though they're absolutely sure they're right about everything(God's Word, you know), they can't even agree on who's a Christian and who isn't.

The differences are to be expected because we are human. We let our emotions and personal feelings influence our beliefs. The similarities though are what unite all Christians. There is only one way to Our Heavenly Father and that is through His Son Jesus.

May God Bless you.

Christians do not always agree for the same reasons females, working in the same office cannot agree. For the same reasons that members of any government cannot agree.

For the same reasons that some think you are beautiful, while others think that you are hideously ugly.

It just Shows how hard satan works to Keep Us Divided because there is Power in Unity.

A House Divided will Fall.
One can send a Thousand, TWO can send Ten Thousand away.
The Power Level goes up by 10 when you add another Believer and their in the Same Mind ( Mind of Christ).
