Sure... most breakfasts I make are from scratch. Bacon & eggs, pancakes, toast..etc. I make my spaghetti sauce from scratch and many other things. I will confess I use shortcuts I find in the market though!

Although.. I guess I'd have to admit I do use canned tomato sauce & paste.. not home made.

I have one friend that says when she learned to cook, and made a chicken dinner from scratch.. she meant the chicken was out in the yard scratching for chicken feed eariler in the day. I buy my chickens already plucked.. etc.

Yes, practically any dish can be made from scratch.
All you need is a recipe and the ingredients. What did you have in mind????

Soup, cookies, lasagna, pies, stew, stuffing, gravy - you name it. Just get a cook book or google for a free recipe on-line and start trying different things. You'll find some recipes that you like. You can always tweak the recipe to make it suit your own taste; e.g. more garlic, more onion, more or less of whatever or adjust the flavor piece with more or different spices.....and walah, bingo!!!you'll enjoy cooking your own thing forever!!!

Of course. You can make devilled eggs, cookies, steak fajitas (if you feel like going through the recipe to make fajitas). Almost anything can be made from scratch if you find the recipe.
