A Christian is saved by the atonement of Jesus Christ and not by going to church though fellowship is good. The true church is the body of Christ and not a building.

If you are doing what you think you're supposed to be doing, then no, you're fine. Evangelists do this a lot. But I sense cynicism here. So how do you spread the "word" if you don't know what it is? How do you get around Paul's teaching about the church? If you are praying, what are you praying? I'd be curious about those answers.

Being Christian means believing in the teachings of Christ and following His way. As far as not going to church being a sin, that would kind of depend upon your religious beliefs. I'm Catholic, so not going to church is considered a venial (minor) sin. Other religions don't take the weekly attendance as seriously as us Catholics, though, so let your conscience be your guide.

No you are not sinning and you still are a christian. I didn't used to like church either, I was unhappy until I found one I dearly love that is totally different. Try the Salvation Army Churches my friend. Let go and let God

I don't believe in organized religion. I also don't believe in spreading the "word" because I know that just means that your trying to "convert" people.
So, the "not going to church" thing is fine. Spreading the word isn't. Practice your religion at home. If others want to know about your religion, they will come to you or read it out of a book on their own. They aren't so incompetent that they are unable to buy or rent a bible to study.

That's between you and god. Going to church is not gonna get you into heaven. Doing what others do isnt. You have to read the bible, pray, and let god lead you to what is right! Not going can sometimes be a bad testimony to someone you might be witnessing to. I always need church to get recharged in the lord! but again, its all in the heart!

You don't need a building to pray, the sad thing is, is that most people who go to church think they are covered by just going to church. God is in your heart every day so think and pray to him when you feel compelled to not when others tell you to.

Depends on the denomination you belong to. Some churches require attendance (most that I know of), while others think that you can fulfill your duty to god by proselytising. Why don't you ask someone in your church to clarify things for you?

If God wanted us all to go to church, he wouldn't have scheduled the NFL games for Sundays.
