I am also a mom of three. My last child started regular school last year. I work also, i decided to go back to school. There was no more running to pick her up from daycare to running and picking up her siblings from a babysitter. You should consider going back to school or starting a carpool or even take a continuing education course. You may be the next entrepreneur. Can you create or make a special dish? You can even volunteer. never feel like there is nothing for you to do. Our kids will always need us. Homework is a big part of their schooling. I am going to school to learn the in's and outs of advertising etc. My second child likes to sketch and sew clothing. Maybe your kids have a hobby that they like and you can learn about it more. Don't give up. You are a great mother whether they are around or not. You always have them in mind. Good Luck

What are your interests? I know a mom who actually became a teacher at her child's school. There are part time jobs you could find, or you could do volunteer work. It depends a lot on what you like doing and what interests you. There are also internships, if you'd like to start developing some sort of career for when your kids are older and spending less and less time under your direct supervision.
I worked for my husband part time (he was self employed) and I tried writing fiction for a while (without much success but it was fun). I still do those things now that my son is in college.
I also took a college class. Do you have a nearby community college? You might fill those short hours with a class. Even one just for fun, like gardening, painting, swimming, etc.
It takes a while to get used to having free time again. :) But you'll get used to it and find fun ways to fill it.

went thru the same thing when my first 2 were both in school and before baby number 3 showed up.

First I reconnected with some friends
Second began to enjoy working with crafts again
Third began helping in both of my childrens classrooms and the school in general--tutoring, working in the library, office, and doing lots of pta stuff--also became a scout mom both girl and campfire
Fourth I went back to school--and earned two associate degrees and went back to work

And even after my 3rd child was born continued to go to college and took her with me for several months

Let your imagination work overtime for you, look not only into your past but to your future, what do you want to do or be....you'll always be mom but you can now have your own identy too.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I personally started a home based business. Consider the skills you've developed running a household for all these years and decide where/how you'd like to put them to use. I could recommend my company, along with several others you may want to look into. It gave me the opportunity to interact with adults during the day and still be available for my family, i.e. going to the school, being home after school, room-mom, field trips, extra-curricular activities. Not every business is right for every person, you may even decide to start your own company if one doesn't already exist where you feel you will thrive.

Best Wishes to You!

I went back to work as a lunch mom. I worked at a fast food restaurant. I quit and went back to school. That is really what I recomend for you. You can take any class you want! I volunteer at the local hospital. If you really still want to stay home, you can babysit for local single working mothers. Do whatever YOU want to do.

You might want to try to get a part time job. It'll bring in some extra money and will keep you occupied while your kids are at school.

Try to create your own life... whether that's a job, or a group, or a hobby.
My Mom was a stay-at-home Mom for 16 years, and found it really hard to re-enter the workforce... he life was about her kids, and she was completely lost when we all left home.

use the time to develop you! I went back to work part-time and took some college courses. When I feel balanced I'm a better mom.

good luck!
