What will the scientist lose if evolution is false? Nothing. In fact he'll win the noble prize, its money and millions in future research. Remember, there is NO feat of job loss by doing this research because tenureship protects them from getting fired. What will the Christians lose if evolution is true? Thousands upon thousands of followers who give out 10% of their paycheck.

Who is more likely to lie?

Are you talking about the federal funding PRIVATE universities like Stanford and Harvard have?

Exactly. Further, by far the most employment for geologists and biologists is in private industry (eg. the multi-billion dollar petroleum, mining, biotech and medicine fields). Private industry is about making money. You don't make money with incorrect science. You don't make money, you don't have a job.

In contrast, the few creation 'scientists' tend to be based at their own donations-funded 'research' (propaganda aimed at the ignorant) institutes. hmm....

What will the scientist loose? His reputation, his tenure, his teaching position, revenues from textbook sales since all of the books that he wrote are now wrong, future teaching and speaking engagements, research grants, etc.

I have heard about fights breaking out at scientific conferences over such dry, mundane topics such as whether T. Rex was a hunter or a scavenger, or what really goes on in the core of the Earth.

Irregardless whether you think that evolution is true or not, you are naive to believe that a scientist is not a human being with the same ego as everyone else simply because he has a degree. In fact, I noticed that the more education that a person has, the more likely that he becomes too stubborn to admit to ANY mistakes. Lawyers know this, and often exploit it in the courtroom when cross-examining expert witnesses with much success.

You think that scientists don't have agendas? Especially in this day and age of corporate funding for scientific studies tailor made to flatter said corporatations product?

Both have agendas, and both have culture specific blinders on. There is no escaping that, and anybody who thinks that scientists truly are able to always remain objective and accept every new and well-proven scientific discovery without a second's hesitation are complete romantics who have forgotten the scoffing that any scientist who disagrees with the institution receives until the slow lumbering thing known as science finally comes around to seeing the truth. Take heliocentricism for example.

There are many scientists that do not believe in Evolution and they are ostracized by their peers. They get a lot of flack. If they are relying on grant money for research they need respect of their peers!
Wasn't it science that said the earth was flat?
The bible says it's a circle.
Who were the scientists that lied about so many cave men? Including Neanderthal was based on a disfigured human
Neanderthals were humans with rickets
Neanderthal Man, found in France over 50 years ago, is an old man who suffered from arthritis
Laetoli footprints were human
KP 271 (a fossil humerus) was human
Australopithecus was fully ape, closer to chimp
Most experts now agree that Lucy was only an unusual chimpanzee
Biologists think that Lucy is the oldest known ancestor of humans
Heidelberg Man was built from a jaw bone that was conceded by many to be quite human
We don't have any evidence of change since Homo sapiens first appeared as a fossil 50,000 years ago
These are just a few examples.
Scientists are more likely and have already lied about this. Many did it for fame and $$$. Don't be naive.

Just think about this for a moment. How many scientist make a living directly associated with evolutionary thought? (a bunch). How many museums have displays showing hominids with human hands and feet that were intentionally placed there to make people "think" that evolution is true? Go see any "Lucy" exhibit at any museum- she has human feet and hands in the exhibits, yet she was an ape, with ape hands and feet.
I promise you, billions have already been spent to prop up this failing theory of evolution.

Their purely schedule is a seek for the fact as much as now as all of us understand. hassle is it relies upon with what pre-conceptions we've till now commencing out. for many human beings those are shaped by using the academic lifestyle of the age which merely occurs to significant on secular cloth standards. there's a particularly militant repression of something creatiionist , no longer on medical grounds yet on fears over religious cliams on the human concern. strangely sufficient the pursuit of the main unearthly contortions of spirituality are on the upward push. inspite of all that there are maximum of medical minds that embody some form of religious ideals . as quickly as we admit to the possibility, a minimum of, that non secular realities do or can coexist with materialism then the limitations of danger enhance into endless. At that element many draw the line and keep on with tunnel imaginative and prescient, refusing even to entertain the theory that physics and chemistry have great organic smart causation. in the main suitable motel that's entirelya rely of religion in materialism or value added faith in each thing previous our finite limitations. Sounds over severe ( particularly pretentiously) yet its all extremely a chortle to Lifes author, i think..

There have been plenty of scientist who have lied about their findings in order to support their belief in evolution, and they did it I suppose to protect their reputation and keep their paycheck.
You might as well ask...
Who is more likely.... the scientist with an agenda and the Christian with no agenda.

The Church has been suppressing scientific information for thousands of years.

They didn't like it when scientists figured out that the earth was round and the earth revolved around the sun. Both statements were considered heresy. This is why religions are so ridiculous. They can't adjust their dogma to fit change and new knowledge so they deny it.

Ideologues of any stripe are often found to misrepresent data in order to support their ideology. Witness the current Middle Eastern war(s). So any one with an ideology that is threatened is likely to tilt data toward their ideology's stance, not the truth as they discover it to be.
