I find it hard to believe that car dealers are now just sticking to the MSRP price and not really willing to move on the price. I live in British Columbia, Canada. I am after a Hyundai Tuscon GLS V6.
Thanks.

Call other dealers in other towns. There are some dealerships that won't budge, and even if you could find the invoice price that the dealer paid for that exact car, if they won't budge, they won't budge. It also depends on how popular the model is. If they aren't able to get enough Hyundai Tuscons to satisfy the number of people looking for them, then they have no reason to move on the price.

I find dealerships in bigger cities where there's more competition for the customer the more likely the dealership will be willing to bargin.

Also I believe the Kia Sportage is the sister vehicle to the Hyundai Tuscon. You might want to consider looking at another dealership.

I agree with all of the previous posters, go to other dealers and if they give you the same answer and you must have a Tucson then you'll just have to pay it. Maybe you would be willing to have a used 2006 Santa Fe for the same price though? Rav4 and CRV are also recently redesigned and may be in high demand. While the CX-7 from Mazda is a bit pricey from the start.
Don't forget about the Tucson's brother the Kia Sportage!!

I went to severe college with a pal who ended up possessing a Harley dealership the following in Canada. when I had raised my kinfolk i ultimately wanting to purchase a Harley 20 years later and that i approached him for a chit cost on a 2007 historic previous softail. He laughed at me and informed me that even besides the undeniable fact that we were associates, he grow to be unable to furnish me a chit. He suggested that if his mom got here in for a bike, he would throw in a helmet if she paid finished cost. So solid success in talking your community dealership down on msrp.

Supply and demand. When a new model is "hot" and they have people lined up to buy, why would they drop prices?
