well it was £17.45 a week for the eldest child and £11.70 a week for each additional child.
clearly its gone up now to £18.10 but wouldnt have thought you would get less per child after the second. for more information go to http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/YourMoney/DG_10016699?cids=Google_PPC&cre=Money&gclid=CO3VhpLep4oCFSYbEAodLhMkqg

Yes it is the same rate as the second child for each child after and yes the info about the twins rates is true too, my twins argued over the letter we had through the other day as he wanted to know why his twin born just 1 minute before him was worth £6 more than him

it only lowers once every child after the 2nd gets the same amount of money. Obviously the government thinks that second and subsequent children are cheaper to raise than the first.

The amount stays the same as the 2nd child. Just to be nosey, how come you get 18.10 when I only get 17.45? (I know its only 55p but still)

How much do you get?
£17.45 a week for the eldest child
£11.70 a week for each additional child

It is the same amount for each addidtional child. Did you also know that if you had twins or more, you only get the higher amount for the first born?! Bit of useless info, sorry.

Each child after the first gets the same rate as the second, it doesn't decrease with each one you have :)
