after ocean tansport and then having to convert it to Italian road specs which can only be done by Guido the chosen car converter of the local government you would be better served buying a car over there. Overseas transport is around five grand.

You're looking at a couple thousand depending on where you're shipping from. You could call the local post office and find out. Usually they go by the weight of the package, but as it is a car they may use different rates.
