Nope you get NOTHING not even the Grand you payed into the GI Bill. You can TRY to change your discharge, I have as of yet not been able to have mine changed

Wow....all but one of these answers are incorrect. The VA considers an honorable discharge and a general discharge UNDER HONORABLE conditions the same when it comes to major benefits and certain minor benefits such as the VA home loan guarantee. If the general discharge was for anything other than under honorable conditions, however, then the answer is no.

Yes, but if you wait a year after discharge you can usually get the General Discharge upgraded to an Honorable Discharge.

if it was a honorable discharge yes you would qualify

no, you must have an honorable discharge. anything other than that, you get nothing.
