my mom was an abusive person all her life and continue to do so, i've cut all ties with her for 1 year and my life was so much happier! i really love my aunty (mom's younger sister) and she was a wonderful lady, i want to keep in contact with her, sharing my life but i really don't want my mom to find out (the less she knows the better), but my aunty and my mom talks on the phone every week because my mom is looking after her daughter (my cousin lives in the same country as me), i've told my aunty to not repeat anything i said to my mom but somehow my instinct tell me she will, my aunty said she will not say anything (with a seak voice) should i continue confide in her?

Every time I ignore my instincts I regret it.

Trust is as important for you as for her. I know it can be hard to trust people if the person you're supposed to be able to trust (your mom) lets you down. I say trust everyone until they give you a reason not to. It seems that your aunt is important for you as a confidant, so don't just give that up easily.

well that depends on how much you trust this "aunty" of yours if u do really like her then give her a chance but if it's kind of an ify and short relationship watch your back

If u dont trust her, write it all down in a private diary. then it isnt bottled inside of you and you feel less stressed.

No, If you are NOT comfortable then DON'T. Your gut instinct is more likely right than wrong.

You need to tell your aunt what your mum is doing to you.
