Time is an invaluable resource available to all of us. However, its availability is limited while the demands on ones time may be enormous. Dissipation of energy in doing too many things may result in poor execution of some or all of them, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction.
Time management is therefore a plan of writing down the priorities one has to perform, allocation of estimated time required for completion, as also the sequence in which these jobs need to be done with the other resources available for the jobs.
Apportioning of one's time to different jobs within the constraints of available time so as to effectively complete as many of the jobs as possible, is the essence of time management. Analysis of this type also helps one to cut down on time wasting activities.

Time management is how you spend your time. For instance if I wanted to practice good time management skills I would clean my house or do my homework rather than sit in front of the television all day long. Hope this helps.

It's where you make a decision: I have 8 hours. What is more valuable to me, working on my thesis or putzing around on Yahoo.
