If you have faith it means you accept that it is ok. You do not need to know any more than that no matter what it is. In short if there is a problem you know through your faith its is solved. If you have no faith the problem stays a problem..

Just another way of saying you have to start somewhere, and then proceed. You can accept someone else's starting place, or find your own. If your starting place doesn't take you where you want to go, you must be prepared to find another starting place. This goes a little beyond the Aquinas quote, of course.

To the one with faith - well, he would show it in actions...
But to the one without, you can see that they dont believe nor serve God....hmmmm i think this is right....i was studying this verse this morning: in JAMES 2 in Bible...My brothers and sisters, what good does it do if someone claims to have faith but doesn't do any good things? Can this kind of faith save him? 15 Suppose a believer, whether a man or a woman, needs clothes or food 16 and one of you tells that person, "God be with you! Stay warm, and make sure you eat enough." If you don't provide for that person's physical needs, what good does it do? 17 In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it doesn't cause you to do any good things. 18 Another person might say, "You have faith, but I do good things." Show me your faith apart from the good things you do. I will show you my faith by the good things I do. 19 You believe that there is one God. That's fine! The demons also believe that, and they tremble with fear. 20 You fool! Do you have to be shown that faith which does nothing is useless?

Start with what comes before this: what is it that needs explanation? Clearly, something in the realm of the mysterious, something having to do with faith. Something that can't be explained. Something one just takes on faith. Hence, TA's statement you've quoted.

i think it means that a person who has faith does not need explanations to explain things that happen and a person who has no faith will not believe any explanation you try to give when they ask for explanations.
hope you understand this.

If you believe, if you trully believe in something or someone, you will need no explanation at all on that thing or someone; you will always believe it with blind trust.
If you do not believe in something or someone, it does not matter how many explanations any one gives you; you wont believe any of them.
For example when you were a kid, you believed in Santa Claus, and you didn't need any explanation for him. You believed, and that was all that it mattered.
And for example if you don't believe in the supernatural, it does not matter how many proofs someone shows you. You'll simply won't believe them, because to you the supernatural does not exist.

If you believe in something, then you accept it on the base of faith. and knowledge that it is true.
if you have no faith, no answer or possibility of understanding what the person is trying to explain to you will matter to you.
you have no faith, you are hopeless and it's no use trying to talk to a wall.
get it?

if you believe then no explanation is necessary and if you don't believe then there is no point in explaining.

it means if you believe, the belief doesn't have to explained, because you believe in it so wholeheartedly. if you do not believe, an explanation is worthless, because you will never understand.
