I went to the dentist about a week ago, but since then only in the evenings after I eat something my gums feel itchy! In one spot of my mouth it really itches and hurts a little when I brush there! It drives me crazy and I don't understand what it could be! I thought maybe it was a cavity, but it doesn't feel anything like one!

What did you see the dentist for?
I've heard perio patients say their gums had an itchy feeling. Do you have perio problems? Your tissue may need extra stimulation from the use of stimudent, picks or a hummingbird, you can buy this at drug or grocery stores. Only other thing I can advise you to do is to floss and brush gently, but better in that specific area to see if that helps with the "itchy" feeling. This may be a question you should have your dentist address. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
