Probably some form of hydrocodone and Tylenol.

The doctor will freeze the gum and nerves around the teeth he is pulling. I too had 2 wisdom teeth out without gas or being put to sleep. The doctor froze me and the only thing that really bothered me was the sound of him breaking the teeth up and pulling them out. He was a short doctor and he had to almost sit in the middle of my chest to pull them out. Probably looked really funny. If the doctor is willing to give you some pain meds for afterwards, ask for Darvocet, works great for acute pain.

it probably depends on your dentist. I was in the Navy when I had mine removed. I flew from Olbia, Italy, to Naples, Italy, had all 4 removed and 3 stitches at each point using only Novocaine. Left the dentist and had a banana split without nuts (it had been a while since I had one), then flew back the next day. I was given Motrin for pain and that's all.

Request the pain meds in advance.
When you are having them pulled have someone drop of and fill or pain meds.

If you have impacted, and they have to cut them out--- go for the gas, or better yet-- o my gosh 6 teeth-- have them put you under and ask for codine or vicodon or percociet!!!

tell them you have a low pain tolerance.
since you are not being knocked out, this is hard for me to believe that you are worried about pain!!

Ask them for valium or xanax to calm your nerves.
as for pain-- good luck!

i always go for the gas!! for wisdoms-- knock me out!!
dental work is no party, but with the right meds, it's managable!!

you are going to be awake and hear a lot of noise and feel pressuer as they dig and pull your 6 teeth out.

Best to call your dental person doctor-- oral surgeon right?
ASK WHAT MED'S THEY WILL GIVE YOU.
TELL THEM YOU NEED SOMETHING FOR PAIN,
AND NERVES, AND THAT YOU ARE VERY HYPER-SENSITIVE TO PAIN!!

good luck!

A couple of shots of Novocaine and then afterwards youll be prescribed vicodine. You wont feel the pulling with the shots but get the prescription filled asap and take a couple vicodine before the novocaine completely wears off.Two days later you'll be back to normal. Good Luck , you will be fine.
