Even though God love's everyone, I am sure he feels hurt, and doesn't want to communicate with those who don't love him, unless they first go to him..... put yourself in God's throne, how would you feel if you were him?
He doesn't have to proof himself, But don't you think we do to him as individuals?

God shows himself or acts through other believers to get to that non believer in hopes that they will turn to Him. God isn';t some 5th grade bully who wants everyone to go to hell, he;d much rather have you up in heaven. im sure God can answer you if you ask him, so get off yahoo!Questions and ask God himself.

Well why shouldnt he show himself if he were real. I mean really do you want the door to door salesman to show himself at your door? NO
But he shows up anyway. So why not god show his face if he were real.
