keep in mind that, if you dont KNOW that something is correct, then you acknowlage that it might just as well be wrong, your saying "you dont know", why bother calling "i dont know" your opinion?
--"what is your opinion on global warming?"
--"...i dont know"

if you are not 100% sure that you are right, you are undenably saying
" I -- DONT -- KNOW"
its that simple, if you dont KNOW, your opinion is "i dont know". how hard is this to understand?

An opinion is just that. An opinion is a view, a formal expression of judgement, and a belief. If you state something that you know to be correct then that would be a fact, not an opinion.
I get thumbs down for stating the truth. Good grief, did I hit a nerve?lol

i'm slightly confused by this queation, but I think an opinion is something that you believe to be correct, but is open to e changed with persuasive enoguh evidence.
And even if someone, say, somehow KNOWS that he is correct, or at least is 100% sure of himslef, he will call it an opinion to acknowledge the fact that ther are othre people who don't agree. But I would never say, "I am of the opinion that the sky is blue," But someone would say, "It's my opinion that there's a God"- u say the word opinion, because it's not a necessarily confirmed fact that not everybody agrees with.
But if you would say Idon't now if you don't know enoguh information to make an intelligetn decision, baecause you don't wnat to sound like a moron when someone asks you why you have that opinion.

DUDE! READ A DICTIONARY! Look up the word "Opinion".
An "opinion" is based not necessarily on fact, and is not an admission of being wrong or hinting at the possibility of being wrong. An "opinion" needs nothing concrete or obscure to back it up.
In fact your statements after your question is an "opinion" and is not conclusive since there are instances that counter you point and some instances that seemingly agree with your point. Are you 10? 14? what?

Opinion is a statement based on ones belief. If people actually knew,it would be fact, not opinion.
Is Global Warming real? Yes, but man has little to do with it.It's being used as an anti-capitalist attack on our prosperity, while India and China pollute like Mother Flackers.
Now that is fact!

One can, and quite often must, form an opinion on the basis of insufficient data to definitively establish a case. In such event, it is quite appropriate to say "In my opinion." If a tiger is chasing you, and your escape is over a wobbly board, you need to form an opinion quite quickly as to whether the board will support your weight.

An opinion is just that. A fact is something totally different.
I could say that I know something that is a fact I can prove it.If I say That's my opinion,then that`s what I think it is. If I say "I don`t know",Then I`m not giving an opinion.

If somebody has answered "I don't know" to a question they are not expressing an opinion. They are expressing ambivalence, or ignorance.
The response of "I don't know" can therefore not be considered to be right or wrong.

Because they have no reliable data they don't know what their opinion is on global warming. What is your problem with someone admitting they don't know something?

or the statement saying it is "Gods will". an equally mundane and devoid of thought comment. when in doubt, they fall on their ace card, some people will just say "you racist!" or whatever they believe is a way out of the discussion. the secret of their delusion of success is in their ability to believe it has a validity of its own.
or it is just '2 point' whoring.
