Provided that you are careful about traditional safety protocol, than yes. If you are excessively worried, don't do it. The stress could cause you to be clumsy at times, which could be dangerous! If, however, you have never cared for HIV patients before, now is not a good time to start! You need to be well versed, and practiced.

As long as she takes care. Dealing with an HIV patient is dangerous for ANYONE. But it's inhumane not to do it. So....just be careful.

It does depend on level of care. If you are a CNA, helping with bathing, dressing, and feeding, that's probably OK (as long as you are careful with universal precautions), but more invasive procedures are a little riskier (IV starts, intubations, etc). That being said, as long as you take the necessary precautions, then you should be OK. Best to check with your doctor to be certain. It's just a matter of what you are comfortable with.
