are guys jerks after they break up with a girl becuase they want to let the girl know they weren't meaningful when they were, or that there just jerks, or that they personally didn't care about the girl. HELPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Any answer is fine, I jsut need some help on this one

A lot of them are jerks. However, it can stem from an ego thing particularly if they are the one dumped.
Some guys will also try to make you feel bad and unwanted just to try and cover for their own inadequacies and inability to deal with rejection.

One of two things here are true. Either the guy is and always was a jerk, or, the girl turned him into a jerk by being a jerk herself. But, he more than likely just wanted a tumble in the sheets and once he got it, he went on to the next "notch" in his belt.
Good guys are always good guys, unless they are wronged. Jerks are ALWAYS jerks. Start dating a better quality of guy. It sounds like you have been used before. Now, ask yourself how many times. Then put a stop to it. Find a good guy.

Guys are very "black and white" emotionally. We have a very difficult time being friends with a former flame. Being nice to them for reasons other than sex doesn't make sense to us. The only oter way we know how to act is what females would consider "jerk like"
It is kind of like in old movies when the boy has to let the wild animal he has saved or raised loose in the woods. He doesn't know how to explain it to the animal, so he throws rocks at it.
Until someone discovers a way to allow communication between guys and gals/wild animals that is the way it will be.

Well I dont think we mean to be jerks we just want to put it across that we do not like them anymore. For example my ex girlfriend still liked me after i broke up with her so i started being a jerk and now she hates me. Yeah i know thats not a good way to go but oh well. We are actually still friends to this day. Hope that helped

No i not all guys are jerks after a break up but alot of guys are, it just depends on who did the break up or how the break up was done.

Listen not all guys are jerks, but a certain % are i suppose, i broke up with my girlfriend just before xmas, but i wasnt a jerk about it, were still good friends. Everyone one is different, its the one bad guy that makes the good ones look bad so assumeing all guys are bad is just not right, Good luck with your problam.

Usually when a guy is jerk to you after the break up, is if you broke up with them and they ws trying to break up with you first.
or they're just plain jerks

He's probably angry with you. That may be why he broke up with you. Anger is an intense emotion, and without a strong mind to reign it in it can flare out of control.
Why is it an issue? Just stay away from him, and move along smartly. His anger will cool.
