Do you mean in your carry on baggage? Yes, you can. My husband travels for work and is gone for literally months at at time. He often takes his PS2 with him so he has some entertainment while he stays in corporate housing. He's never had a problem taking the PS2 in his carry on baggage.
I don't know if you can *use* it on the plane.

You are permitted to use electronic devices on aircraft as long as their wireless network or ability is disabled. Other than that it poses no risk. You may be asked at security if you plan to carry it in your carry-on luggage.

i took an xbox and a playstation 2 and carried it on to my backpack and that isn't prohibited.
Bad thing is , that when the scanner scanned my PS2 some of my games didn't work.

why wouldn't they? so long as its not in your lap. they might think it is a bomb or something though. you cant carry it on. you have to give it to them in your giant suitcase of stuff.
