My current car is shot and won't start and need a new car. I will be getting $900 back from income tax that I would be able to put as a downpayment. I can afford $100 a month until the car is paid off. Does anybody know someone that is trying to get rid of a car that they are looking to sell?

Your best bet is to find a "Buy Here Pay Here" car place. They usually accept cheap down payments for halfway decent vehicles at a low price per week or every two weeks.

I now own a BMW thanks to a place like that. You never know what you will find there!

It's a hard choice. The cheapest reliable vehicle you can get would be a 2000 or so Honda Civic that will run at least $3,000. See if you can finance missing amount.
Some moron suggested a bmw, and you should know that repairs alone will run you more than $100/mo average.
