No, America does NOT think it will help to send more troops.
Americans overwhelmingly oppose any escalation of this war:
A new Gallup poll taken this past weekend shows that support for President Bush's troop escalation did not gain any ground, despite an all-out White House publicity push (it remains stuck at 38% approval). The survey also revealed majority support for a congressonal resolution opposing the "surge" -- and a U.S. pullout within a year.
Support for such a resolution is strong, with 61% backing that. Asked if congress should try to block the deployments, such as by denying funding, a still significant 47% back that action, with 50% opposing it.
A total of 56% want a quick pullout -- with 19% advocating "immediately" and another 37% in a year's time. Only 13% say "send more troops."

Do you HONESTLY believe that the same nation that simultaneously crushed both the German and Italian Nazis, while swatting back the Japanese can't handle some under-financed, poorly educated religious nuts who, thanks to America's efforts, can't even use phones anymore to communicate for fear of detection, and can't meet easily for the same reason?
The Liberal press is trying to convince you that we've lost a war we can't lose militarily. The terrorist Al Zarkawi said the same thing to his followers. He just told them to be patient, and cause as much havoc as possible, because inevitably, they will be helped by stupid, naive "anti-war" demonstrators in the U.S.
Look at what's going on. The terrorists are reduced to the lowest level of terrorism: just blowing up buses, stuff that does not require much effort, planning, or research.
Think how the Liberal press always has a negative, contradictory viewpoints. First they say we should have sent in more troops at the beginning, now they're saying that more troops won't solve the problem. Could they be more duplicitous and contradictory?
The same nation that crushed the Nazis and Imperial Japan can handle some terrorists. If you don't believe that, then the Liberal press has absolutely brainwashed you to the point of no redemption.

no, and I tried to email you today, it said your account did not exist...I left comments on 360 .
Anyways to answer that question, I think it could help because the suicide bombers are hitting innocent iraqis, but, I dont know, we'll have to wait and see. I hate the wait, but another part of me just seems to believe they are their to DRAW OUT Iran and others that keeping coming into Iraq, in fact the US and IRAN fighting a proxy war that Iraqi president asked them NOT to do in his country. I agree, I think that if the US wants a war with Iran, it should be in Iran.
I think the forces sent there, on the ships, are there for a reason. Its scary but I just cant talk about what I believe will happen with you cuz it will make you sadder. I did hear from some armed forces dad though, that he thinks that the Iranian president will be (assasinated) from within his own country. I do not know why he thinks that ?
What I think leads to back to prophecy.
ps..
run a history check on musselmans, mussulmans, that equal muslims today. American History is where you will find it. Just to get a bigger picture of whats going on, and read some other muslim sites, dont just read a koran. Like be openminded, this is 2007, terrorists just shouldnt be doing this stuff. We should have been at peace with each other by now. Also keep in mind that you cannot study or research the Bible within the Bible, or the Koran within the Koran.. go to remnantofgod.org to find out where the muslims got that koran. Its kind of sad.

This is a tricky question..HMMM, let me see...Your damn right they should send in more troops...We should have done it right in the first place and landed 500,000 troops in Iraq to be begin with....Granted, we were still able to oust Saddam's gov't and remove his currency($$$) from exchange in 3 weeks, however, more are needed to secure and rebuild the country. On the other hand, we are training and "operationalizing" out quite a few Iraqi soldiers every week...If we can get 150,000 of them "ready to fight and protect"...we may not need to... On a more personal note: if it wasn't for the democrats, we would have sent in more and had this thing wrapped up 2 years ago...Thanks lib's....

I'm sorry, but Robert KKK Byrd isn't a military expert, and he can't seem to make up his mind, which isn't too uncommon for the Libs in just how they feel/felt about Saddam. When are you Libs going to stop the hypocrisy? Byrd is one of the politicians under Clinton that claimed Saddam was a threat, had WMD. Give us a break!
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."

The smarter Americans know it's just a money-making venture for big oil & defense contractors at the expense of our military. Democracy was part of the ruse.
Our readiness has been compromised, our debt risen astronomically and we are less respected bc of the lies.
We want out - for sure!
Iraq will not be resolved any time soon or not even in the next two generations.
Some cowboys don't know when to get off a dead horse!

I don't think the American people think more troops are the answer. I think it is clear there are only a hand full of people who really believe that more troops is the answer. And who really knows if they honestly believe it or are just going along with the president. The list of those people are, The president, Vice president, a couple of Generals, and the some Republican party members and current cabinet officals. I don't know of any others who think more troops are the answer.

I wish it would-without the loss of any more lives--but I know it won't. Even if we stopped the violence now, it would be chaos as soon as we leave the country because we cannot solve the underlying issue, which is religious. The Sunnis and Shiites have disputed the true heirship of Mohammad for about 800 years.

It's easy to critiize when you don't have any stake in an issue. However, the question here is really whether the Iraqi people are willing to give over their propensity for revenge in order to save their country and themselves. As my grandfather used to say: "revenge is sweet but it bears bitter fruit".
