Any place that the bone is close to the skin, ie: ankle, foot, wrist, spine area of back. The area between your shoulder up to your neck is tender, too. Tender skin: inner arm/thigh. Places that hurt the least (and ALL tattoos hurt!): any "fleshy" place such as the shoulder area, hip.

For the Ladies, Cramps hurt worse that a tattoo! I'd rather get a tattoo in one day than suffer the pain of 5 days of cramps!

The most tender areas are the ones closests to bones...like the ribs (if your not heavy) or the top of the foot. However, don't let pain determine where you get your tattoo- an hour of drilling needles is worth the correct placement of something you'll have for a very long time!

My answer would be that what is most tender for a tattoo is anything that is close to the bone. My tattoo is along my backbone, and those parts that fell off to the side were next to nothing painwise, it was only when the tattoo needles were right over my backbone that it really hurt.

So I have 5 tattoo's, Neck, Inside of the wrist, calf, and one on each of my feet and those are suppose to be "painful spots" and really none of them hurt people are wimps if they say they hurt!

Any place on the body that is close to bone. Hands, back, chest, and feet are good examples. Places with muscle or meatier tissue are less sensitive.

I just got a tat on my upper arm. It stung quite a bit. My thigh tat was much worse though.

I believe the rib area is one of the most painful when it comes to tattoos.

Any part of the body that doesn't have a lot of muscle/fat and a high number of nerve endings: feet, lower back (tailbone) area, ribcage, FACE.
