If you are sure that you will never be more than friends, make sure the giver knows it. You should accept the gift anyway. There may come a day when you wish that you could receive a gift of such, from anybody. Never burn a bridge. You can't cross burnt bridges. Be kind! Always!!! Broken Hearts never really heal, they just change.

Flowers are very expensive perhaps a cookie bouquet or a cookie on a stick and a card that reads dear friend here is a gift for you to acknowledge our friendship boyfriends are easy to find but a friend like you is something I always need and treasure.

Thank him for the thoughtful gift and wish him a Happy Valentine's Day. Just because he chooses to send, doesn't make you obligated to do anything more than acknowledge receipt of it.

Tell him he's sweet but he should not spend his money on his friend. It makes you feel like you're taking advantage of your buddy. Should deliver the message and not hurt too bad.

just accept the present and say Thank you and give him a compliment and then if it is nice keep it..... but if it is not nice then you can give it to someone or throw it away!!!! but be nice about it even if you do not like them, it is the thought that counts.....

Stop being a shallow snob. Accept it for what it is. A nice gesture.

Say "You shouldn't have, I'll have to leave these at work, thanks" and leave it at that. Don't try and be rude or hurt his feelings, but let him know your man would flip if you came home with them!
