Jihadist warfare throught history can be distinguished from almost all other war in terms of the "self-righteousness". Other than maybe the Nazis, all other warfare doesnt have the distinct Islamic phenomena. Warfare based simply on "we are compelled by God, to impose his law upon all people".

Educated people never respond to this remark with the knee jerk "ohh yea, what about the crusades!" because they know that crusaders were called upon only AFTER Jihad had taken the holyland and rampaged through europe. It was now a matter of life or death, not Christs external command to murder Christianty upon the entire world. They were fighting for THEIR VERY SURVIVAL.

Read Gautier or Durants accounts of histories greatest genocide, the Arab Muslim invasions of India. The invading Muslims are not described as self-seeking barbarians...noooo, indeed such barbarians look angelic in comparison....noo, these Jihadists were singular proud and self righteous, no pagan hindu could be spared..

No, there's nothing worse than someone who is ignorant of a religion before asking accusing questions about it. These "Jihadist" you speak about are only the radical groups. Most of modern-day Muslims, myself included, actually speak out against these groups and as a personal note, I don't even consider them to be Muslim. A true Muslim would never kill innocents during peacetime, would never kill women, children, or the elderly even during war, and when an enemy asks for peace, it would be granted. Also, the word "Jihad" does not translate as "Holy War," as many people seem to think. It means "struggle."

As-Salaamu Alaikum - Peace be upon you

In my opinion whats worse are teleministers. They twist the bible to suit their agendas and claim that terrorism would be perfectly acceptable if the targets were places like abortion centers or feminist rallys. And while they wouldn't do this themselves there are others who are such devoted followers that they would. But I'm not saying they are worse than terrorists they are just bad to a silghtly lesser degree.

The people understand that when we see Muslims engaged in savage violence that we're looking directly into the eyes of pure evil.

Why don't the politicians get it?

George Bush is the only world leader still in office who has remained obstinate in his will to hunt down terrorists wherever they are, and the world owes him a debt of gratitude for that. Blair needs to be born again and stop playing the polls. We're fortunate to have both him and Howard, but there's no reason to give up now.

there is not any longer some other thing beneficial inhumane and vile because the hateful athiest. I keep in suggestions a tale I heard at the moment from a pal I actually have at my church. "a guy with a gun pointed it on the right of between both ladies and suggested 'are you one in each and every of those christians?' She suggested 'certain' and the guy shot her. the guy then turned around to the different female and suggested, 'similar question!' the female stared on the gun, the guy suggested again 'similar question! Are you one in each and every of those christians?' She suggested, 'i understand i am going to heaven once you pull that triger.' the guy smiled, raised the gun to her head and killed her."
