have the TPS (throttle posision sensor) and MAF (mass air flow-sensor)checked, also if you added anything after market or OEM, make sure al the connections are like they should be. like vacuum lines , linkages , and sensors.

3000 rpms seems a bit much. I would suggest taking it to the Nissan dealership and having them hook it up the computer. The computer may need to be reset and re-learn the idle of the motor.

either a kinked linkage, or a combination of a rich mixture with a vacume leak
