Sometimes it's not a terribly bad thing to be fussy unless it's entirely based around superficial things. ie.. looks /money / popularity.
My friend only dated the most magazine quality good looking men and she was treated like dirt most of the time- they were hot and they knew it- they cheated on her, ignored her, or abused her. (I'm not saying all good looking men are like that but she had terrible luck) one day she met a joe-blow mediocre guy at church, and they were MADE for each other but no matter how hard he tried or how much I tried she wouldn't go out with him cuz he wasn't her 'type' Finally he got got a job on the other side of the country and when he told her she he was leaving she hopped into his arms and bawled cuz she didn't want him to go - now they're getting married ^_^ (finally)
Be fussy! but be fussy about important things, like how he treats you, how respectful he is, how happy he makes you.

I feel a lot of people are like that, I was also when I was younger. I was very shallow and only liked girls for the way they looked. Now I moved past that over the past few years and took chances and met some very wonderful people since then. So go outside the box and talk to a guy that may not be your type, that doesn't mean drop all your standards but look past a few things. That person could end up being the love of your life!

try being more absorbent... listen to them first... and if its not what you want to take in... take them out... being fussy isnt always a bad thing... sometimes its a good thing... with out someone fussying... no one would take the trash out... no one would be pushed into something that they're good at... no one would entertain people... there are plenty of fussers out there... i fuss too... because my girlfriend doesnt want to wait... haha... funny right... it makes her want me even more... ^_^... but ya... everybody is different... and you might find one that you really want... but you first have to know what you want before looking...

i know what u mean.. i dont think its a bad thing at all cuz u really cant help but notice such things... as for you specifically i dont know cuz we're different people.. but this is how i do it.. i make a mental list of all/major the things wrong with them, then i start striking them out based on a number of good things i notice.. usually i always come up short.. but i notice they usually make that up over time..

You are proabably a woman who has expectations and knows what she wants... which is perfectly normal.. Think about it.... Let yourself go...to what?... or better yet "for what?" Give guys a chance...but we usually can tell whether or not he's a keeper in a matter or 3 seconds...!!!!
