Sometimes when I think about Canadians I get scared. Not Farley Mowat. He doesn't scare me. But that For Better or For Worse cartoon is pretty scary. And Canadians in general can be intimidating. Like many people, I've been traumatized by Canadians.

The last guy who said this to me -- well, I didn't hear the end of it; it was just random screaming coming from the sealed-off igloo...

Re. "For Better or For Worse" -- that thing scares everybody nowadays. See:

"Canadians in general can be intimidating."

I...holy crap; "scary Canadian" gets 1,140 Google hits; "scary American," 536.

What is it? The poutine?

Some of the best friends I've ever had come from Canada and I've never been intimidated by a single Canadian, nor do I ever intend to be. I don't know to whom you are referring when you claim that many people have been traumatized by Canadians...must be people who just run in your crowd. You know, this smacks oddly of something Jackie Berkhart would've said on "That 70's Show."

And for the record, I love that comic strip "For Better or For Worse."

Good. In the words of an American who likes Canadians. (Not me, I am Canadian) Respect my authorit-I. Then we can all get along and you will be fine.

So, seems you didn't have a question? I bet mesasha2004 is also Canadian. See? You need to follow my above advice.

Farley Mowat - yeah. Hard to be scared of a guy who organized a food drop for starving Dutch at the end of world war 2. He negotiated the truce with the Nazi's occupying the area to allow it.

What a very odd phobia to have. Canadians must be one of the least intimidating nations on the planet. Like, up there with Switzerland.

Why on earth are you afraid of Canadians? I've visited Canada many times and found the people to be lovely.

You haven't met the right Canadians. They are just like people of other nations--there are all different kinds.
