I recently got back from Japan and (although I shouldn't compare it to true Korean food) I ate at a great Korean restaurant there. I'm really craving it and I'd like to know which you think is the best Korean restaurant in Orlando and why. Thanks!

This is the results of the 2007 Foodie Awards, with comments by Scott Joseph, the resident restaurant critic who's column is a regular in the Orlando Sentinel. I have found his opinions to RARELY disagree with mine, I'm pretty fussy about food and service at a restaurant, and I've lived - and dined - in metro Orlando for 20 years myself.

"Your assignment for the following year is to get out and discover Korean cooking. This is by far the category with the fewest ballots cast. Your choice took more than 80 percent of the vote for a decisive victory. My winner is a new discovery for me, one I told you about earlier this year. Besides offering an authentic Korean dining experience, including some rather unusual wines, the family-run Korean Kitchen makes diners feel as though they're dining in someone's home. But Korea House, the area's oldest Korean restaurant, is still a fine and deserving choice."

"This is probably the most authentic Korean restaurant in Orlando. I was eating in a great Korean place in New York City, and when I mentioned I was from Orlando, they told me Shin Jung was where the Koreans always ate when in Orlando. We've been there 3 times so far - the food is excellent and tastes exactly like the food did during the time I spent in Korea. Prices are inexpensive - a good Value. Good food at good prices is hard to beat!"

OK. This is by far the Best Korean Restaurant in Orlando. It is rated very high and the food is to die for! The food is always top notch and is prepared the way Koreans love their food. You want the Best?. This is the place.

Buy a book and make it yourself. I do! If there is a restaurant in Orlando, I want to go! Hope someone knows. Perhaps there isn't one.
