The butter doesn't taste like the butter you get at the grocery store. It has almost a sweet taste to it. It is delicious! It's not honey butter and it's not your basic whipped butter either...Help!

I didn't say Outback was high end. I said AND they serve it at other high end restaurants. No need for the wise-cracks. I figured everyone has heard of Outback and not many people have heard of Ruth Chris, which by the way is also an overpriced chain, just not that many out there. ANYWAYS the question here is about butter not about which steakhouse is the best.

The only thing I noticed about the butter (like the balls they serve in a dish with the bread) at Outback is that it is unsalted butter. That may explain the sweet cream taste.

It is honey butter and like one other poster stated Outback is not high end. Ruth's Criss Steak house is high end. Outback is simply an overpriced chain, like McDonalds

IT might be European style butter. It has a much better quality and flavor to it. Find it at specialty grocery stores.
