I know by choosing things that we like: music, food, flowers, decorations.....

I'm just trying to figure out some things that will make our wedding "us". I mean like having a cake topper that looks like us, embroidering our last name initial on the table cloth that the cake sits on, etc.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

To be perfectly honest, there really is no way to make your wedding that much more memorable to guests than any other, but you can personalize it with your own style. The sad thing is, all the extra expense you will go to will probably go unnoticed by a lot of guests, so make sure you are OK with that. I think you have some good ideas already, so why not run with that? There were lots of good ideas presented here already as well. The one thing I would not do though is the personalized vows. It's a little corny, and all those cute things you do for each other that you mention in your vows are going to go over everyone's heads. I just say this because of all the weddings where vows were written by the bride and groom that I have gone to were not exactly well received. A lot of people rolling their eyes over the sheer length and sickeningly sweetness of the vows, as well as the fact we sometimes just didn't know what the heck they were talking about! But anyway...as long as your wedding is personal and memorable to you and your groom, that's all that really matters right?

There are just so many ways to arrange flowers & tie bows yet it seems there are more than a few questions asking how to make their wedding different.
So what spearates one wedding from another? People might remember that the colors were pretty and definately that the bride was gorgeous.

But what people will remember the most are the words spoken. You see, words mean things. They will remember the words you say to vow your love; they will remember the words spoken by your minister/officiant.
Experience tells me that those couples who spend a few extra minutes on the "Do you take" part never feel their time was misspent.
So what do you want your guests to take away with them after witnessing your wedding? What do you want them to feel? What do you want to say to them? To each other; to God?

It is your officiant's responsiblity to come up with a ceremony that reflects your love & personalities. Any input you can give them is usually most appreciated. I think you will find the most meaning here.

This is a really good website featuring cake toppers that look like you and the groom. You can choose your background, the colors, add a child. Its very creative. http://www.weddingshowergifts.com/wedding_cake_toppers/index.shtml

do not in basic terms personalize it have a rememberable one......maximum folk get rid of something from a wedding ceremony so have this on the table beside the signing in table.... have a pamlet produced out of your and yours image and characteristic a small message thanking them often human beings in basic terms threw the different paper away this way they'll continuously shop your photo and the day you've been married.

Just to add to others' creative ideas, we sent thank you notes to guests with their photos with us during the wedding to remind them of our special day.

It is a way of adding our personal touch for guests to remember us, our day, and how their attendance made the difference.

cousins of mine choose little things to put on the tables as guest favors that showed their personalities. They had different kinds of candy and even the bracelets where you crack them and they glow..it was cute.
