when in doubt throw it out. If it is new chicken and has only ben in the fridge for a day or two then complain to the store where you bought it. If it has been more than two days and it smells, toss it in the trash.

It should be fine..you say it has a smell to it, but i think everything has a smell to it..is it a bad smell? have you cooked chicken before? The sell date is 2/14 so that should be fine as long as you cook it WELL

Is the smell a rancid smell, or is it simply the smell of chicken.
As long as it is not sticky feeling or slimy feeling, the chicken is probably fine to cook. Make sure it is well cooked.

When chicken has gone bad it has a hideous smell. If the chicken smells a little off to you, they'll exchange it for your at the store.
It's best to be safe.

It depends onto if you left it out, but if you kept it in the fridge, check the expiration date on the package.

Never challenge your instincts. The bird is bad--throw it away and stop shopping wherever you shop.
