I'm a college frehsman dude, and there is a girl I'm really interested in, but my concern is that we haven't known each other for a very long time. In fact, I talked to her only once in my English class on Friday. We have classes on MWF. I find the girl very attractive because she has really pretty eyes, is eloquent, is smart, and is quite friendly. She seems quite interested in me too because she looks at me quite often. Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and I am worried if someone will make a move on that day. I feel that I should do something to get more attention from her, but the time just doesn't seem right. So I'm in a dilemma. A friend of mine tells me that this Wednesday is the day I should do something special, but I am not so sure if it's okay to give her a letter. Would she think I'm creepy as hell? What do y'all suggest I do? I really don't want to lose her to some other dude because it took me great balls to break the ice. She's the kind of girl I really want. Help

Well, I really empathize with your question so I'll give you the most honest answer I can - she would probably be taken aback and a little awkward if you gave her a letter especially since you arent friends already or anything. I mean just put yourself in those shoes- what if some girl from one ofyour classes just gave you a letter this Wednesday? I dont think that you should feel pressured to start anything just because its Valentines....just take your time and try to talk to her here and there, like hey did you know what the prof meant when they said ..... and work from there - and hopefully she'll respond in the same way. Dont listen to the friends who say you need to do something overt - I mean as idealistic as it would be to romantically do something its not practical when thinking of your self interests. Just imagine how you'd respond.

Valentines Day is coming up. Dont be afraid to talk to her. Talk to her like a friend. And maybe ask her what shes doing for v-day. Talk about some of your friends and what theyre doing for v-day so its not obvious that your asking about it for any othner reason that conversation. and if she says she doesnt have a valentine, get her a card, and tell her something sweet. And mention you had a nice talk with her and felt she could use a valentine, even if she didnt know u that well.

Just find some excuse to talk to her, ask her about school or if you could study with her, invite her out. As far V-day, I wouldn't do anything, you may freak her out since she barely knows you. Just wish her a Happy Valentines Day, ask she has any plans and leave it at that...your in college and look at is as a numbers game, if this doesn't work out, there will be many more, right?

You've pretty much answered your own question. Just tell her how u feel, tell her all of the things that u just said about her. Whether it be in a note, in person, or on the phone/computer, get it to her somehow. If she really is interested, then she'll appreciate u telling her that u like her, and she knows that either u r making a move or she is safe to make one.

I think she likes you too. Go for it.... Go up to her in class Monday, ask her how she is, tell her you like her and ask her if she'd be interested in going out on a date with you. I know it sounds daunting and all but you will kick yourself in the shins if some other guy gets in there first and you will be left to wonder....... what could have been. G Luck : )

When you walk by her seat give her a card with a note
inside telling her that you would like to get to know her
better. Then after class greet her and ask her if she would
like to get a drink or talk.

Why not study your school work together first before buying tons of flowers? If she's serious about school, then she may have to keep her thinking on that track. First. There's still time for someone else who is also serious. About their school work first.
