I think you have some good points there. Truth in some senses is intolerant of error. We are not allowed to compromise on matters of principle. However, so long as you are a decent neighbor, I don't choose to beat you over the head, though I probably will occasionslly suggest that Salvation is available only through Yahoshua.

Intolerance?
Yes i agree that many are intolerant, yet I have no fear that the truth will come out and if there is an almighty god, he will do what he needs to do to wipe out those he decides to.
Some here answered that proselytizing is a form of intolerance. This very attitude is intolerant. As some religions require their members to preach. So, if some say that preaching is intolerance they are indeed being intolerant.

In the Vatican II document, Declaration on Religious Freedom, Dignitatis Humanae (Human Dignity), the Catholic Church states:
The human person has a right to religious freedom. This freedom means that all men are to be immune from coercion on the part of individuals or of social groups and of any human power, in such wise that no one is to be forced to act in a manner contrary to his own beliefs, whether privately or publicly, whether alone or in association with others, within due limits.
Catholic believe that all human being are all created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
Honest disagreement with the beliefs of others that is discussed with the respect and dignity due to all participants is not intolerance.
Verbal abuse or physical violence towards those of differing religious beliefs is not only intolerant but against the doctrine of all religious faiths of which I am aware.
With love in Christ.

Refusing others the right to practice their religion, whether by law, local "custom" or endless proselytizing is intolerance to other religions.

When eating people of that religion causes you to break out in hives and suffer from indigestion, you might be intolerant.

You are absolutely correct! Christ did not agree with everyone but spoke the truth and if the truth offends a person it is because the truth is not in them. If I speak the truth with a clear conscience I have done no man wrong.
