Of course why not.

This used to be our morning breakfast, when we used to go schools. Have some plain yogurt add some salt to it, to make it tasty, its up to you. Then add half teaspoon of plain Cumin, or Cumin powder if you have one (approx in 500ml or one full bowl). And it eat it with khakra (this is the usual Indian stiff chappati http://www.rajafoods.com/swad/khakra.asp ).

You can either try it as plain, with Khakra, or with plain Rice.

Have this simple dish and you will love it. I rather like plain yogurt, then fruit yogurt. It's natural, and I simply love it. And by the way cumin powder is very good for coolness in our body.

This kind of breakfast is very common in India, as it hardly takes any time and mess to make it. It's very filling, and tasty to eat it.

Plain yogurt should be eaten as it is. Otherwise buy fruit yogurt (I don't know why they call them yogurt). In this part of the world, yogurt is always eaten plain, natural. We eat it as an accompaniment to certain dishes. I hate to see western countries spoiling natural yogurt with all those additives. The only time we add salt to it is when we make "cacik" (chopped cucumbers mixed in yogurt).

Sure! "Plane" yogurt can be eaten with a little salt and peper, but for "helicopter" yogurt, you'll need some cayenne pepper, and I recommend some curry powder for "car" yogurt.

LOL!

All kidding aside, you can eat plain yogurt as-is. I wouldn't put any salt or pepper on it (that would be kind of nasty, as yogurt is kind of sweet). If you don't like fruity yogurts, you could try stirring in some granola, M&Ms, cereal, or anything like that.

Hope this helps...

Yes, as long as it's truly plain, and not vanilla. Yoghurt can go either way - sweet or salty. I use it on chili, instead of sour cream, or in salad dressings, or even on sandwiches instead of mayonnaise. If you don't like sweet yoghurt, you could also add other spices besides salt & pepper, such as garlic powder, onion powder, herbs, etc. Or if you like it sweet, but don't like fruit, you could add maple syrup or honey. One other tip is to look for more natural brands of yoghurt that don't add a whole bunch of artificial flavours, sweeteners, fillers, preservatives, etc. I buy an organic kind that has only two ingredients: organic skim milk and active bacterial culture. It's important to look for the active culture if you want the digestive health benefits of yoghurt. If you've been on antibiotics, the acidophilis bacteria in yoghurt will get your digestive tract back up and running with the proper bacterial balance. And that was way more than you needed to know, so I'll stop. :)

Yes you can. Actualy you can make a nice spreadable cheese withit. Take a big container of plain yougurt and season it with salt pepper oregano, little chili powder, garlic powder, or what ever you like. then put it in to several layers of cheese cloth and hang it to drain. the longer it drains the thicker it gets. like cream cheese. It is really good on sour dough bread with some olives and a nice red wine. Oh ya, don't forget to squeeze it a little and spin the cloth to tighten it.

If you've got plain yoghart, stir 1 pkg of sweetner in it, add 1/4 tsp. of vanilla. Refrigerate and eat with Graham crackers. If you want to do the work, You can crush one whole craham craker, mix with 1 teaspoon soft butter, press in the bottom of a saucer. Pour your vanilla yoghart on top, chill and eat as cheesecake> You can add some jam or jelly on top for a nice change.

It can be if that's what you like, but why don't you try different flavors? They have chocolate cake flavored yogurt for crying out loud........why would you just want to eat yogurt if it's something you don't like? Also, something my son like is the yogurt you can get with stiff to mix in it on top, like m&m's or granola. There are many other things you can do.

You are the one eating it. Try it and see if it appeals to you. Besides, all the extra stuff they add to the fruity yogurts, eating it plain is a step in the right direction.
